More commonly known by their brand names such as Botox and Dysport, neuromodulators are a purified protein that work to relax overactive muscles. When injected for cosmetic purposes, neuromodulators reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles caused by movement.

Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid that has been scientifically manipulated to have stronger bonds between molecules. These bonds allow us to inject them into our tissues to replace lost volume and create structure. Due to the properties of hyaluronic acid, fillers will draw in moisture and give a refreshed and hydrated appearance to the injected areas.

Unfortunately due to limited evidence and research, injectable treatments while pregnant and/or breastfeeding is not advised.
